Germa
is from the Netherlands and this is also where she trained for her
qualifications. After a 2 year study she gained diploma’s in Sports
Massage and Injury Prevention in 2005 and she has been practicing
massage therapy ever since .
To extend her skills, and get a feel of the relaxing side of massage therapy, she gained a certificate in Hot Stone Massage.
After a year traveling around the world, Germa decided she loved New Zealand so much she wanted to stay here.
She
started her own business in 2010 and has operated from a renowned multi
clinic (which provides osteopathy and massage therapy) in Wanganui,
from May 2010 till March 2015 with great success.
She loves her role as a Sports Massage Therapist. She has a special interest in sports injuries and has now built a solid client base. Among her clients are local sports heroes, who compete at local, national and international level. From bodybuilding to squash and from cycling to running and walking. There's something for everyone at any level.
In 2016 Germa finished a course Kinesio Taping (Elastic Sport Taping) in the Netherlands, which has become very popular among athletes and clients with short and long term pain issues.
Aside from general practice massage, to prevent and treat injury as well as to aid recovery, her Hot Stone Massage Treatments are extremely popular.
